My wedding was going to be colorful fiesta, and I wanted to spark excitement in my guest for this grand, high-energy party. To characterize our union, I mixed my husband's El Salvadorian heritage with our love of cartoon illustrations and typography. I used not just two or three but SIX colors with five of them marking a color gradation between coral to eggplant that matched the 5 bridesmaid dresses. This explosion of color was accompanied by variations of an equally bold Hispanic-oriented pattern and cartoon hand-drawn characters of my husband and I.
